In early 2019, Indonesia and Australia signed a free trade agreement that will eliminate many tariffs from products and services exported between countries. Indonesian exports to Australia will face no tariffs, adding benefits to the existing Southeast Asia agreement between Australia-NZ-Asean countries (AANZFTA).
We have a boost in our ability to export to our Australian and New Zealand customers following a reduction of 5% of tariffs starting 2020.
This moment presents a good time for us to showcase more of our products to the Australian market, as a follow up from our recent participation of AusPack in 2019 where we connected with a number of existing customers and new potential ones from Australia and New Zealand.
